A New Chapter in Industry-Academia Collaboration | Students from Xidian University Visit WALE to Explore Precision Measurement Technology!

In this age of rapid technological advancement, industry-academia collaboration has become the key to bridging the ‘final mile’ in talent development. Only through the deep integration of the rich theoretical foundation provided by universities with the cutting-edge technical practices of enterprises can we cultivate innovative talent that truly meets the demands of the times.

On 23 June, we welcomed a group of outstanding students from Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology. Driven by their passion for precision measurement technology and a spirit of inquiry, they visited WALE, where a representative extended a warm welcome to the students and their teachers.

Firstly, the presentation provided students with a comprehensive overview of WALE’s innovative capabilities and influence within the industry, covering aspects such as the company’s scale of operations, core product ranges, and industry trends.

At the same time, work safety training was organised to convey safety awareness to the students. Work safety is a matter of the utmost importance, and ensuring it is a key challenge for those in the industry. Here, WALE has guided the students in taking the first step towards raising their awareness of work safety.

Guided by staff members, the teachers and students visited the company’s exhibition hall, R&D centre and modern production workshop in turn. The students showed great interest in the precision measuring instrument and efficient production processes. Engineers provided detailed demonstrations of key products and technical principles, whilst the students engaged in lively on-site discussions and exchanges on core issues such as the operational mechanisms of the instrument and the applications of precision measurement products. In the production workshop, the students observed and experienced first-hand the basic instrument operating procedures and real-world measurement scenarios, gaining an appreciation for the rigour and appeal of precision measurement technology and deepening their understanding of modern industrial environments.

Talent is the driving force behind a company’s development and the lifeblood of industrial upgrading. WALE has always regarded deepening university-industry collaboration as a key strategic priority. Moving forward, WALE will continue to work hand in hand with universities to further advance the integration of industry and education, jointly cultivating more top-tier talent in the field of precision measurement, and achieving a seamless alignment between the ‘education chain’ and the ‘industrial chain’ for mutual benefit!
